Wyanne Chase has been an artist ever since she could hold a pencil. She says her Mom knew she was destined to be an artist at an early age as she would draw her own pictures to colour instead of use store-bought colouring books.
Born in Salt Lake City, Utah in 1966, Wyanne was raised on the Canadian westcoast and finally settled in the mountains of Colorado with her Australian Shepherd dog, Bear. Her works have been published in Canadian periodicals, "The Westcoast Fisherman" and "Extreme Magazine". More recently, her work can be seen in a sports training book entitled "Going Long". For the "day job" she has been a graphic designer for nearly 20 years and a web designer for the past seven years.
Wyanne does many works using coloured pencil, graphite pencil, watercolour and pastel, though her true passion lies with pen & ink pointillism. Not a widely-used technique, pointillism is the art of applying dots to create an complete image. This technique is highly time-consuming, but the finished affect is most realistic. The majority of her works are graphite pencil.
Wyanne is also available for private commissions.
