My name is Lara Harris. I am an artist originally from Northville, Michigan. I have been drawing and painting all my life and have taken a few classes over the years, but I am primarily a self-taught artist. Originally accepted at the Massachusetts College of Art & Design, I chose to go into teaching instead. I received my Bachelor's Degree in Education from the University of Michigan, and taught for nearly 6 years. I never thought I could paint very well, but in 2004 I was inspired by several artists on ebay, namely Chris Stott and Ron Krajewski, so I picked up a paintbrush and have been painting ever since. After marrying in 2006, I have been able to pursue my art full-time. My work is in private collections in the US, Canada, Australia, and the UK. Although I have had no formal training in art, I believe much of my ability has been a true gift from God.
