Heather Whitehouse

I was born in Derby, England and have been interested in art for as long as I can remember.

I still live in rural Derbyshire and love painting in most mediums including watercolour, acrylic, pastel, gouache and even molten wax! One of my favourite mediums is ChromaColour - this is a medium originally designed for the animation industry. It is very versatile and has many of the good characteristics of watercolour and acrylic without any of the negatives.

I love painting wildlife, especially animals and I have recently became a member of Art For Critters. This is a group of self representing artists that support animal welfare charities.

I work from home, often painting from my garden (weather permitting - it is England after all) where I can take advantage of natural sun light.

I have exhibited in galleries throughout the UK and paint tiny little paintings (3.5 x 2.5 ins) known as ACEO's, but also paint larger works including some commissions.
